Ok so for about an hour I've Bern reading your blog and it's really inspiring me to do a longterm transition. Like you, I had long thick hair before a perm and now my hair is just at my shoulders. I'm determined to transition until my hair is at least a little past my shoulders or the same length it is now. I dnt want short curly hair lol I want long curly hair. I'm only 4 months in but I plan on going for two years.
Love peace and butterflies,

Do you know how many twists you did? I tired this at 12 months and my twists were to big, I did about 50 of them, should I double this (divide each section in half next time).

Congratulations on your transition. It's really an achievement. I have had my locs for 19 years and wouldn't trade them for anything. I am hoping that you and other sisters will share your transistion at your blog www.nationaliscoolenough.blogspot.com and win a free N.I.C.E. t-shirt. They are actually fabulous!

I never thought to blow my hair out first. That might help me deal with the slippage...good idea. I will try that next time.
