I'm glad I ran into your blogs! I am approach 10 months of being natural! I am currently wearing a sewin, and getting tired of wearing weave, which I've been doing for my transition period. I have been thinking about doing the big chop, and have been consulting with friends who are natural on what to do. I've just been struck, because I love the length it has grown to. After reading your blogs, you have helped me decide to hold on a little longer at least until the end of the summer or the fall. One thing is for sure I am getting this sew-in out and giving the twist out with rods a try! Hope it turns out well :-/...

I own this and I use it every two months. It does not get rid of your split ends. All it does is trim a little bit of your ends. You still will need to get a haircut to get rid of your split ends. I only use it so that I can avoid going to the hairdresser and having inches trimmed off. But in order for the splitender to be usefull you have to get a haircut and take care of your hair so that you can avoid split ends. Then you can you the split ender every 2 months to maintain. But in the bright side I love the miracle silk more than the split ender.
