I think that you only have to worry about iron in pills not in food. If you take a potassium supplement with over 200 mg of potassium, you may need to go to the hospital. But you are OK if you eat 2 avocados with 2,400 mg of potassium.

I am concerned about iron over dose with black strap molasses. Some people say take 1 tsp. a day and others say take 2 tsp. each day to bring back natural hair color and get rid of grey hair. Does anyone know about the damage the molasses can do to major organs if you have iron overdose? How much is safe?

I heard about this before, blackstrap molasses is commonly used in horses feed to enrich their coat too and it does work.
