Anti-Breakage Hair Serum

Name: Organix Coconut Milk Anti Breakage Serum

Price: $6.99

Rating: 3 out of 5

Product Promise: A totally indulgent unique blend of organic weightless coconut oil and silk and keratin proteins to instantly repair dry, damaged, coarse, and chemically treated hair.

The Review: Although it smelled great (one of the best smelling hair products I’ve ever used in my life), and the packaging is one of my favs (looks like a cute beauty product) my hair just doesn’t love it. I purchased this serum doing my product junkie days and thought it was perfect when I used it in conjunction with a ton of other products. When I scaled my products back and used this serum by itself for about 6 weeks it was just ok. My frizz factor did go down a bit… but I’ve used other serums that took my frizz to 0. My hair and ends didn’t feel that different either.

What it will provide is a decent amount of shine. But if you’re strictly looking for shine, save money and buy some oil sheen instead. My hair wasn’t damaged when I used this product. So I can’t attest to the miracle in a bottle reviews and raves that lead me to purchasing it. Should you purchase it? It’s not expensive, but I think you can do better with other serums.

Ingredients: Cyclomethicone, Decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Silk Amino Complex, Shea Butter, Coconut Milk, Egg White Proteins, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Fragrance.

I use the vanilla bean version of this and I really like it. It does particularly well on wet hair after my leave-ins. My hair always dries soft and feels strong. I also use it for shine. I purchased this to replace the more expensive Neutrogena Triple Moisture Serum.

Stacey (*waves*), my hair seems to loathe majority of the products that it loved when I was fully relaxed. But I almost want to buy this again because it smells so good, lol.

I thought the same thing about this product. It did decrease the breakage, but my hair wasn’t as shiny or moist as I wish it was. I prefer Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum.
