@ Tammie - I believe I placed a dry scalp recipe up a few months ago. Check it out, or you may want to take your daughter to a trichologist (hair doctor) if the problem persists. Good luck!

@ Fanta - No, this recipe will not repair damage that has already occurred within your hair or grow your hair... But it will help to combat dry ends and help with your hair retention.

Rhonda, I think it's great that you want to learn how to care for your grandson's curls. I was set to write a long post with my recommendations but I found someone else who explains it better and with pictures :)

The link is:
http://www.biracialhair.org
Teri does a great job of explaining how to take care of all curly hair types and I'm sure her suggestions will help you out with your grandson's hair.

Another site you may want to check out is
http://www.treasuredlocks.com/biracial-hair-care-guide.html
I can't vouch for or recommend the products they suggest, but there is tons of information on this page that will help you too.

I hope that helps you out and if you need anything else you can contact me from the link at the top of the page or via my comment section. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.

The Olive Oil Treatment sound like it will be great for my grandson's hair.
I don't know how to say what I am need to know. I am a white grandmother and I have never had to work with African American hair. My grandson has beautiful hair it is long down below his ears and has rows of curls. I need to know what I need to get to keep his hair looking like this I want let them cut it off he had that done once and when his hair started to grow out it would just stick straight up and I just didn't like that. What kind of Shampoo and Conditioner do I need to use and is there anything else that I need to do to his hair. Any information would be helpful.

Shelley, I think it's perfectly fine to mix the above ingredients as a hot oil treatment. I just did one with olive oil, jojoba, castor oil, and almond oil last week and it came out great. I'll try your above mixture next time I do one :)

Hi
Is it okay to mix coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, soybean oil, and rosemary leaves as a hot oil treatment?

I'm glad it worked for you Jasmine! I love it... so much that I started adding olive oil to my weekly deep conditioner too.
