The Review: I heart Mizani’s Butter Blend Relaxer. I use the entire system right now and feel a complete difference in my hair. My hair comes out soft and shiny. And it felt and looked healthy. I experienced no discomfort and the application process is oh so smooth. I was thinking about trying out Affirm, but I’m going to stick with what I know works for me instead of jumping around.
If you’re thinking about buying the entire Mizani Butter Blends Relaxer system you probably don’t need it. The honey shield and base can be substituted with oils and a cheaper base. I will be using Summit Sensitive Scalp base when I run out. You also don’t need their neutralizing shampoo and you can use another neutralizing brand for that too. Seriously, it’s a recession and I can’t see spending extra money on base and neutralizing shampoo.
Rating: 5 out of 5… The relaxer definitely delivers on the promises. Skip a few of the extras.

Is this a No-Lye relaxer? I’ve been using Gentle Treatment No Lye relaxer and I used to love it but for some reason the last time I used it, it made my hair very dry and brittle, so I think its time to change up. I heard its not safe to switch to a lye relaxer if you’ve been using a no-lye.
