I agree with Dani. I think some people assume that "all natural" just automatically equals better. I have found that is not the case. I have searched high and low for an all natural shampoo that wouldn't completely dry out my hair and leave it feeling like a brillo pad. I have tried quite a few and I've found they are VERY drying and my hair breaks easily when I use them. My conditioner has to sit FOREVER to undue the damage the shampoo has done. I have, and so long as I can find the original formula, likely always will be a Creme of Nature detangling conditioning shampoo girl. If natural doesn't do anything for my hair and causes more damage, why bother? I just bought a 5 lb tub of the Humecto and hope it works well. The best conditioner I have found is the ORS replenishing pak.

Honestly, if a product works for my hair, the fact that it contains mineral oil does not play into my decision. I think it's all about educating ourselves. I've done my own research and concluded that mineral oil is not a "toss away" factor for me. Now that's just me... someone else may decide different.

As long as you are educating yourself as a consumer, I feel that you should do whatever works for you. I'm still searching for natural products that work just as well as a few of my staples, but until then I will continue to use what works for my hair. Trust me, I'm not throwing anything out. It's a recession girl, lol...

It's so funny, I came across your site today, looking for people like myself who are getting into a regular regime with their hair. Anyways I too bought the Humecto and nearly threw it out the window when I saw the dreaded MINERAL OIL....lol. When in the store I thought I went through the ingredients thoroughly, hah. But how are we supposed to know what works for our hair if we don't try new things, right? Well I'm happy it work for you so I to will give it a try!
