Just For Me Hair Milk

Name: Just For Me Hair Milk Collection

Price: $4.99 (Each)

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

This is going to be a little long because I’m reviewing the entire Just For Me Hair Milk Collection. I received it last week to sample and my mom (4b), 12 year old niece (3c), and I (not sure what the heck my hair type is anymore) tried it this past weekend. They are both natural and I’m 8 months into my transition to natural hair. Overall, we enjoyed the products. Some were average and others were pretty good. The smell is consistent with all four of the hair products. It does seem like they were going for a milk and honeyish scent… And it’s probably going to be that you either love it or hate it. The packaging is too cute! I’m a sucker for the pink and white scheme and really like the shapes of the bottles. Kudos to the design team.

On another note, I’ve seen a lot of people on the internet refusing to give it a try because of the ingredients. And I can see why… Some of the ingredients that are present are not needed IMO.  I also think it’s cool that there is a shift towards using more natural ingredients in hair products from consumers. I hope the huge companies that manufacture hair products are paying attention because these indie hair labels are coming for a piece of the Black Hair Care segment.  And they are producing quality products, with majority natural ingredients, at a decent price.

You can check out the individual reviews below.

Just For Me Hair Milk Shampoo

Product Promise: Gently cleanses and makes hair feel softer and manageable.
The Review: My mom and niece put this shampoo through a few tests. I didn’t use it because I just wanted to co-wash my hair. According to both of them, it didn’t strip or dry out their hair too much but it wasn’t as gentle as they hoped it would be. My mom did find a good use for it later today. She went ahead and washed a few wigs with it… and said it worked just fine. Ha Ha!

Just For Me Hair Milk Conditioner

Product Promise: The formula strengthens and nourishes hair, while adding shine to dull strands.
The Review: My niece deep conditioned with this for 20 minutes with heat and she loved it. I’ll admit the her hair looked and felt very moisturized after using it. I co-washed my hair with the conditioner and thought it was just ok. I didn’t love it or hate it. My mom used it as a conditioner and leave-in, and said she liked it.
Rating: 3 out of 5, because it’s my blog and I decide the final ratings (Little C, you can’t give this a 5)… Ha Ha Ha!

Just For Me Hair Milk Straightening Mist

Product Promise: Gentle mist formulated to improve hair’s manageability before combing. Detangles and protects from heat.
The Review: I must admit we all loved this straightening mist. My hair was so easy to finger detangle after I used it. My mom sprayed it before blow drying and her hair came out great. Well, it always comes out great but she did have good things to say about the mist. Last, my niece loved it too. She doesn’t usually have a too many issues with detangling her hair, but we both noticed that the wide tooth comb was going through smoothly after she sprayed the mist on her hair.

Just For Me Hair Milk Styling Creme

Product Promise: Thick, creamy formula that allows moms to style hair with ease. Apply to dry hair for moisture, strength, and a gentle hold.
The Review: I was the only one who tried the Hair Milk Styling Creme. Overall, I really like this hair product. It definitely has a thick consistency and a little goes a long way. I used it for smoothing my hair into a bun and two strand twists that I did on dry hair after I took the bun down. The twists had a ton of definition when I took them down the following morning. I was a little worried about product build-up, but it washed out easily the next day.

I Love the styling cream!!! Though it does have some ingredients i could care less about, but has a good ingredient to which is biotin. Biotn allows your hair to grow faster. I take vitamin B-Complex which has biotin in it! I also have 4b/c hair and my curls have never been so defined to the point where it looks like I have 3b hair! Great review!
