Girl’s Night Out Half Wig

New Born Free Wig

I was trying hard to figure out how to do my hair tonight. And it suddenly hit me to just wig it. I have tons of wigs and half wigs that I brought but rarely wear now. I found this one in the packaging just calling my name. It screams Diva in person, and makes me sing the same Beyonce song that I just don’t get. Can someone please tell her to stop trying to redefine Diva? Me no likey being a “female hustler”. I digress…

I have never worn this wig before. I thought it was too big, too wiggy, and too long. So I just left it in it’s packaging. Not anymore! I gave it a test run while I ran my errands. And I got sooo many compliments even with the scarf that screams “I’m wearing a half-wig and being too lazy to blend my hair”. I love it, love it, love it! So I’m rocking it again tonight…

Remember, wigs are a great protective hairstyle. I just placed a wig cap on and pulled it back by my ear. Then I grabbed a satin scarf I scooped up from Forever 21 and threw it on. I keep telling yall to stop sleeping on Forever21. They always have cute and CHEAP hair accessories. And I brought this satin scarf in four colors for $1.50 each. The wig notes are listed below (Gotta have the details).

Wig Brand: New Born Free

Wig Name/Style: Sage, Half-Wig (w/ ponytail drawstring)

Color: 2

Not feeling the Half Wig especially one that looks like that heck, not feeling wigs.:-\ If you are ill that’s different if your role playing for your honey, work’em gurrl ) if not I think we need to just let them have that, all of it and stop getting angry at Chris Rock for speaking up.A brother told you how he felt and some are angry???your a pretty lady thou put our hair 1st. I feel it’s a crutch and counter productive.

Superstarr, I respect your opinion. Everyone does not like wigs, weaves, or having any other additions to their hair. Personally, I don’t have an issue rocking any when I’m lazy or need a quick protective style for my hair.

As for the other portion of your comment, I’m not sure how Chris Rock has anything to do with this blog post. I have not written a review or blasted him in any form. So what “angry” people are you speaking of?

Last, I think it’s hilarious that you are projecting your own issues onto me. I’ll give you the same message I give to all the other people who feel the need to tell someone how to style their own hair… “Do you sweetie!” And thanks for the compliment :)

I never liked wigs, but this wig is veeeeeery beautiful on you. It looks very natural and just screams diva! You’re right, everybody should know for themselves how to wear their hair.

Thanks Claudia. It’s definitely a change from the short wigs I usually wear, but I love it!

I have the New Born Free Kelly half wig in a #2 and I love it! It’s similar to this one but curlier. It’s big, long, and wiggy but that’s part of the fun. What I like is that for $20 or so, it has a very realistic look, texture, and feel. It feels like hair and not plastic. There is a variance in the curl pattern that actually makes it look natural even with the lazy, “didn’t feel like blending,” headband. The uninitiated will just assume you’re “mixed.”

You are seriously causing me to consider investing in a few wigs! I started transitioning in March, and went ahead and cut my relaxed ends off a couple months ago. I LOVE being natural, but I can’t keep my hands outta my curls for anything and I’m afraid with these cold months coming up that it’s going to break off. I’ve considered braids and weave as protective styles (which have been known to break off my hair before) but NEVER a wig. I guess I just want to say thank you for reminding me of this wonderful alternative. You wear it well.

I LOVE this wig on you. I got one of these about 3 years ago, and have been wearing it whenever I go out ever since! It’s very natural looking and I get compliments all the time. I even wore it for one of my photoshoots –
Keep doing you! It looks great!!!
