Chamomile Shampoo Recipe

May 3, 2009

I found this homemade hair recipe after searching for a natural and mild shampoo alternative. Enjoy!

What you need: 6 chamomile tea bags, 1 1/2 tablespoons glycerin, 4 tablespoons pure soap flakes, and 1 1/2 cups of boiled water.

Directions: Place the teabags in 1 1/2 cups of boiled water for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the chamomile tea bags and discard. Next, add the soap flakes to the tea. Let stand until the soap softens. Last, stir in the glycerin until the mixture is well blended. Store in a sealed bottled away from direct sun and in a cool place.

Note: Chamomile should not be used during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.
