I am natural and have been using this product for about a month now and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!! It really is the only thing that I have used besides Kinky, Kurly, Kurling Custard that works for my hair, so I guess it's all about what works for you. I would say to anyone interested to give it a try because that is the only way you find out what works for you hair. I will say this, don't use it with other products and it works best if you hair is damp/wet.

My hair hates that stuff! It makes my hair crunchy and hard and far from moisturized.

Hi, I just discovered your blog today and I really like it. I'm considering going natural without a BC/super long transitioning too and I really appreciate seeing how other ladies are doing it. But anyway, I half agree half disagree w/Bree. I love the Cantu leave in conditioner, its great for my hair so far (no split end cure tho, lol). But I definitely don't think you (Dani) were necessarily being biased, I think you were simply stating that it did not work for you. Everyone's hair is different and I think you were just being honest about your own experience. : )

Bree, thanks for your input. However, this is not just a "hair blog"... It's MY blog. There was nothing biased about my review. The product did not do anything for my hair and I don't see the point in sugarcoating my review to make any Cantu fans feel better.

On to the next one ;)

This product is amazing, it's my tried and true staple. I think it has a smooth, thick, "yourt-like" consistency, not cottage cheese which is gross and lumpy, and the smell? is pretty great. I used it on wet hair then on my non wash days on my dry hair just a bit on my fingertips to help with roller setting. Too bad it diddn't work for you, but man, that review was harsh! lol, You should be more partial, and non biased. This is after all a hair blog, maybe some ladies will still want to try it, that's how we find out what works for our hair and what does not. I tried the cayenne pepper for hair growth {suggested on several hair boards}, it didn't make it grow any faster at all, but made it itch like crazy!... but that doesn't mean it won't for for some other ladies.
just saying. :o)

Stacey, I'm glad it worked for you! I saw so many good reviews from people about it and wish it would have worked half as well on me.

Yeah this product is really hit and miss. I bought it the other day and I actually really like it on my wet hair. My hair dries nice and soft. It is a bit thick and depending on how much I use it just feels like it's coating my hair but I still dig it.
